Kick It 3v3 Policies & FAQ’s

Revised 05/15/17

LEVEL 1: LOCAL TOURNAMENTS

By participating in a Local Tournament (Local or Affiliate), your team has qualified for any of the Regional Tournaments listed below.

LEVEL 2: REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS

All teams qualify for the Open Division by participating in a Kick It 3v3 local event (Local or Affiliate). Divisions are formed based off rankings and record. Gold and Silver divisions are formed. The top 2 teams in each Gold division at any Kick It 3v3 Regional Championships will qualify for the Elite Invitational Division (EID) at the USA 3v3 National Championships.

LEVEL 3: KICK IT 3V3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Teams that participate in a Kick It local event (Local or  Affiliate) qualify for the OPEN division. The top 2 teams in each division at any 2016 Kick It 3v3 Regional Championships and the top 4 teams from each division at the 2015 USA 3v3 National Championships will qualify for EID at the Kick It 3v3 World Championships.

Section 1) DIVISIONS/GROUPS

1-a) What bracket am I required to register in?

For the Kick It 3v3 Soccer Tour, the age divisions/age requirements are listed in 1-b (each division listed has separate divisions for Male and Female. Youth ages 6-19 also have separate divisions for Gold and Silver). Teams should register into the division of the oldest, most experienced player on the team, even if players span more than one age group (with an exception for players over 30). We discourage coed teams in the youth divisions. If you must have a mixed gender team, your team will be placed in the male division.

1-b) What is the Kick It 3v3 Soccer Division / Group Breakdown?

KI Age Division Breakdown 2017

1-c) How are the divisions broken up?

Teams will register into divisions based upon age, gender and playing experience.  Any team or player determined by the Tournament’s Event Director to have falsified age or skill level can be dismissed from the tournament. Teams that span more than one age group should register into the division of the oldest, most experienced player on the team.

1-d) How do I know if my team should play in the Gold or Silver Division?

GOLD (Competitive) / SILVER (Recreational) TEAM CLARIFICATION: By selecting Gold (Competitive) or Silver (Recreational) during registration, you certify that you understand the Gold / Silver Division descriptions listed below:

What is Gold?

The Gold Division provides an enjoyable, yet challenging competitive experience for the player with advanced skills and greater ambition.  Players in the Gold Division typically play in highly competitive leagues and in out-of-state tournaments.  These players plan to play on the varsity team in high school. They may have their sights set on obtaining ODP status or playing collegiate level soccer.

What is Silver?

The Silver Division provides a fun environment for players with less competitive experience. Players in the Silver Division typically only play soccer in their local area. Every player should be guaranteed playing time and the game is taught in a fun and enjoyable environment.

How do I know if my team should play in the Gold or Silver division?

Teams that have at least one player with competitive experience should register in the Gold Division. Generally Gold teams or players play, practice, or train 2-3 days or more per week. All other teams and players should register in the Silver Division unless the team decides to play in the Gold Division.

GENERALLY, IF YOU QUESTION WHICH LEVEL TO PLAY IN, YOU PROBABLY BELONG IN GOLD!

1-e) Will my team’s division change for the Regional and National Championships?

Kick It 3v3 Soccer teams will play in their age divisions for the entire season, including the Regional and National Championships Events.  The Kick It Season begins on January 1st and ends on December 31.

For youth teams, Kick It 3v3 uses year of birth division terminology rather than “U” terminology to classify divisions.  Kick It 3v3 has adopted the US Youth Soccer Birth Year age breakdown as of 2016. For example, all teams registered for the 2005 divisions will only have players born from January 1 of 2005 to December 31 of 2005.  Teams are allowed to play up in a division (2008s playing in a 2007 age group) however you are not allowed to play down an age group (2003s playing in 2004s).

Section 2) REGISTRATION

2-a) How do I register for an event?

Simply register online by clicking on the “Register Now” button on the tournament page found at www.KickIt3v3.com and follow the steps to register, or call Kick It 3v3 Team Services for assistance.  Full payment is required for a team to be scheduled into a tournament, and all required paperwork must be signed and received at the Team Check-In, in order for your entire registration process to be complete.

Please visit our website at www.KickIt3v3.com to register online.

2-b) What is the deadline to register?

Registration typically ends for each event the Friday or Monday, one week prior to the event.  Check each event individually for the Registration Deadline for that event.  Once the deadline has passed it is very difficult to add additional teams as the scheduling process will have started.  If you have missed the deadline and still wish to register, requests will be added to a wait list, and evaluated on a per event basis to ensure that adding a late team does not cause a negative impact on those teams that registered on time.

2-c) Where can I pick up an entry form in my hometown?

You may register online at the Tournament’s page. Online registration is the only form of registration at this time. Event information materials can be picked up at the local hosting club or sponsor locations.

2-d) How do I know my team’s registration is complete?

You should receive a confirmation email shortly after registering.  Scheduling will begin Tuesday afternoon the week of the event. Once scheduling has begun, you will not be able to change divisions, and no refunds will be granted.  If you have any more questions, please call 888.618.7108 or email kickit3v3@grandsportsmgmt.com.

Section 3) ROSTERS

3-a) How many players can I have on the roster?

You may carry a maximum of 6 players with a minimum of 4 players. In order to be scheduled into a tournament, you must have 4 paid players on your online roster. Once you play your first game, players cannot be added or substituted on your team.
For Regional Championships, at least 2 of the players on the roster from the local qualifying event must be on the roster.

For the USA 3v3 National Championships, at least 2 of the players on the roster from the regional qualifying event must be on the roster.

3-b) Can I change my roster after I am registered?

Yes, you can adjust your roster until the start of your first game, as long as the replacement is able to qualify to play in that division (same or younger age – except for adult over age 30 division, and same or weaker skill level). Roster changes must be done either at the Pre-Event Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up or at the headquarters tent before your first game. Any added players must pay their per player fee prior to the team’s first game; otherwise, the team will forfeit games played with the non-registered player prior to the form being completed.

Official Team Roster Forms will be available on the web-site and are available at the headquarters tent during the Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up.

3-c) Can we change our team name?

Once you register for an event under a team name, it is not advised to change your team name.  Changing your team name after the registration deadline often causes confusion with the Kick It Rankings System, and therefore we cannot allow team name changes at that time.

Section 4) GAME SCHEDULES

4-a) When will schedules be available?

For Local and Regional Events:

Links to the weekend’s schedules should be posted on the Games tab at www.KickIt3v3.com on Thursday evening before the event weekend by 5:00pm MST/7:00pm CST/8:00pm EST. If they are not posted, they are probably delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, and we will most likely have them posted soon. Feel free to contact Kick It Team Services to notify us:

kickit3v3@grandsportsmgmt.com

teamservices@grandsportsmgmt.com

(303)-284-5728

4-b) Can I submit a schedule request for a specific time to play?

Due to limits in number of fields, times of play, etc., schedule requests are often very difficult to accommodate, so unfortunately, we cannot guarantee to be able to accommodate this type of request. If you would like to REQUEST a schedule request (remember, not guaranteed), please email your request to your event director. You will be contacted by the game scheduler to notify you that your request has been received, but IT IS NOT GUARANTEED THAT YOUR REQUEST WILL BE GRANTED.

Section 5) TEAM CHECK-IN / PACKET PICK-UP (PRE-EVENT)

5-a) What is the Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up?

The Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up is a pre-event opportunity to pick up game schedules and sponsor packets.  Kick It 3v3 Soccer staff members will be present to answer questions and discuss the Kick It Tour with participants.  The Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up will most likely be held at a local venue, and participants may receive in-store coupons and be able to shop for merchandise items from the greatest manufacturers.  Check the tournament page for each event on our website:www.kickit3v3.com for more information.

5-b) Who needs to come to the Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up?

One representative from each team should attend the Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up.  This can be anyone, as long as they know the correct team name, the team contact person’s name, and have the completed Official Team Roster Form. Note:  Not all tournaments will have a Team Check-In scheduled on the day prior to the first games.  Please visit each tournament page for information on Team Check-In.  In the case that no Team Check-In is scheduled, game schedules will be posted on-line and participants must turn in their Official Team Roster Form at the Headquarters tent on the Saturday before their first game.

5-c) Can I call the Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up location to check in and receive my team’s schedule?

We’re sorry, but we can’t allow teams to call to check-in.  Schedules will most likely be posted online Thursday evening of each event weekend (Every effort will be made so that first game times will not change).

5-d) What do I need to bring to Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up?

Each team will need to bring a completed copy of the Official Team Roster Form to the Team Check-In.

5-e) Does each Kick It 3v3 Soccer event have a Friday night Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up?

No. Please visit each event’s tournament page for information on Team Check In.  Depending on various circumstances, some Team Check-Ins are held Thursday evenings, some Friday evenings and some Saturday mornings.
